Shahid Kapoor claims that Mira is "the stricter parent."
The actor opens up about family, movies, and fashion.
Cosmopolitan India: What would occur if Tommy Singh, Haider, and Aditya from "Jab We Met" met?
Shahid Kapoor: Aditya would be quiet, Tommy Singh would be ranting nonstop, and Haider would be debating whether or not to speak.
Shahid Kapoor: I believe I've arrived to a stage where I truly desire to (work). Toh mujhe kaam pe jaana accha lagta hai, toh toh meri shaadi ho gayi hai. Laat pad jayegi ghar se nahi toh. Since being married, I've enjoyed going to work. Otherwise, my parents will reprimand me). I have a lot to look forward to at home, so if I'm not motivated, I don't go to work. I want to spend time with my wife, family, and kids. I only take on projects that I passionately believe in. You will undoubtedly have tired days, but I never lose motivation.
Cosmopolitan India: You've portrayed a number of flawed people who have a really genuine appearance. What weakness in one of your characters do you appreciate the best, and why?
Shahid Kapoor: I enjoy them all. They all contain a small amount of me. It's like choosing between babies; I'm powerless.
Shahid Kapoor: You must direct it, am I correct? Particularly as an actor, you can't experience everything you need to express. You must find a source to channel it through. I believe that while everyone of us is capable of experiencing a variety of emotions, most of the time we choose to be the version of ourselves that we want to be. People occasionally struggle with being who they want to be and must deal with who they already are. That's a unique kind of situation. You must practise channelling. You'll find a way if you're passionate about what you're doing and dedicated to it.
Cosmopolitan India: One of Bollywood's trendiest performers is you. How much time and effort do you spend getting ready?
Shahid Kapoor: I believe my team works very hard. I have great instincts. It's not like I constantly consider what to dress. Everything depends on how I'm feeling and what I think will be novel to me. I believe you should dress however you feel most comfortable. You often see other people doing something and decide that you should follow suit, but it might not be the best course of action for you. I prefer to act in ways that suit my needs and best reflect my personality and attitude.
Cosmopolitan India: What is your favourite clothing, and what would we never see you wearing?
Shahid Kapoor: I enjoy a nice suit. Having a suit is a tremendous asset once you start to believe you are a man. In one, I enjoy myself. I don't like loud things at all. Anything that screams "give me attention" is not something I would ever want to wear. Wearing that is perfectly acceptable, but not for me. My personality leans slightly toward understatement.
Cosmopolitan India: What's your love language?
Shahid Kapoor: I usually specific it (to Mira) by using pronouncing ‘k’ to anything she says and apologising every time I screw up. just hold it easy—say sorry, ok and i love you.
Shahid Kapoor: It’s usually the small matters. I feel that in an extended-term dating, it’s the small matters that show up each day that continually make the distinction; due to the fact if somebody is considering the small matters for you, you realize you be counted.
Cosmopolitan India: Does being in the public eye ever impact your selections as a pair and with the youngsters?
Shahid Kapoor: I assume my kids will grow up to be cool children. My relationship with them is what they see of me in character. What they see of me on-display screen or as an actor doesn’t need to be what i am with them. I suppose, after they grow up, they may understand this. I understood it with admire to my mother and father. children aren't always going to be children. you bought to admire them and allow them to figure it out.
Shahid Kapoor: pillow fights and ingesting cheat food—that’s basically everything that tastes good. Mira is definitely the stricter determine.
